Aurora Memorial Library Branch Manager

Location: Aurora Memorial Branch

Salary and Benefits: This is a full-time, 40-hour week, exempt position. Starting salary is $54,995 a year, plus benefits, including paid personal time, vacation, holidays, sick  time and OPERS retirement pickup.

Knowledge and Skills: The Aurora Memorial Branch manager is responsible for managing the daily operation of the branch. Responsibilities include supervising, training, and scheduling staff. The Branch Manager will coordinate and evaluate branch programs and services. This position also represents the library at community events and acts as a liaison between local groups and the library. The Branch Manager is part of the administrative team and participates in immediate and long-term planning of the library’s services within its service community.

Qualifications: Masters of Library Science degree or within six months of obtaining degree and related work experience. Ability to work a flexible shcedule that includes evenings and weeknds.

Circulation Clerk

Library Associate I

Location: 2 Streetsboro Circulation Clerk Opportunities

Pay Scale: Library Associate I

Pay Rate for New Hires: $12.06 per hour

Wages and terms employment are covered by the collective bargaining agreement between the Portage County District Library (PCDL) and District 1199, SEIU.

Hours: Average of 20 hours per week, includes some evenings and weekends. Hourly, non-exempt, baragining unit.

Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalency. Customer service skills. Basic computer skills and/or ability to learn such skills. See Position Description for additional qualifications. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Circulation Clerks serve patrons by checking material in and out, answering phones and patron questions, working on special projects and assisting in the Youth Service area as necessary.
